Just mine for some iron or lead, smelt the ore in a furnace, and boom - you've got yourself an anvil with just 5 bars at a workbench. Easy peasy.

Honestly, don't even bother making an anvil until you've got enough ore. Focus on gathering a good amount first so you can also craft some gear right away!

Making an anvil in Terraria is pretty straightforward! You just need to gather enough iron or lead ore from mining underground. Once you've got either 5 iron bars or 5 lead bars (you can smelt the ore at a furnace), you can craft an anvil at a workbench. This anvil will let you craft all sorts of weapons and armor to help you on your adventure!

If you're really into crafting and building, getting that anvil early is crucial. But remember, Terraria's about exploration too. Don't get too caught up in crafting and miss out on the adventure!
