The best way to farm some easy $$$ in PvZ is to play the Last Stand mini-game. You get a fixed amount of sunlight to plant your defense, and if you set it up right, you can just watch those zombies walk into your plants and drop coins like it's their job. Also, don’t forget to plant Marigolds in your Zen Garden, take good care of them, and they’ll reward you handsomely.

Honestly, just play through Adventure Mode multiple times. Each completion gives you more chances at unlocking mini-games and puzzles that can be gold mines for collecting coins. Plus, it's just fun.
A quick hack to rake in the cash is focusing on your Zen Garden. Water your plants, play some tunes, and give them fertilizer. Before you know it, they'll be spitting out coins faster than you can say “peashooter”. It's a chill way to earn without much effort.
Zen Garden is overrated imo. Just play the game and enjoy; money will come as you go. Too much focus on farming takes away from the fun, don't ya think?
