Fertilizer in Fallout 4 magically appears in your workshop thanks to Brahmin. Just feed those big ol' cows by placing a feed trough in your settlement. Also, don't forget to loot every bag of fertilizer you stumble upon in the wasteland, or charm a vendor into selling you some. Easy peasy.

To make fertilizer in Fallout 4, you don't 'make' it per se, but you can get it! First up, build a Brahmin feed trough at your settlement. Brahmin will be attracted to your settlement, and over time, they produce fertilizer that you can find in your workshop inventory. Also, keep an eye out for bags of fertilizer when you're scavenging the wasteland – these can be found in farming areas or purchased from certain vendors.

Honestly, just hoard Brahmin. More Brahmin equals more fertilizer. It's like a post-apocalyptic version of Farmville but with more radiation and less asking friends for help on Facebook.
