Alright, so you wanna cozy up to a Deathclaw without getting shredded? Key thing: you gotta have the Animal Friend perk maxed out. This perk is your golden ticket because it lets you pacify creatures that might otherwise want to turn you into lunch. Once you've got that perk in place, sneak up quietly to the Deathclaw you wanna befriend (mind you, not all of them can be pacified, so you might need to try a few). Aim your weapon at it, you'll see an option to 'Pacify'. If the stars align and the Deathclaw is feeling friendly, boom, you've got yourself a monstrous pet. Just remember, it's not a permanent friendship - more like a temporary alliance. Keep your wits about you!

Honestly, just shoot it. Every Deathclaw I've tried to befriend ends up trying to eat me. Maybe I'm not using enough charm?

Pro tip from someone who's tried: patience and that Animal Friend perk. Also, wearing Power Armor for that 'just in case' moment is not a bad idea. Pacified a Deathclaw once and it didn't attack me, but I also didn't stick around to test my luck. It's a cool moment when it works, not gonna lie.

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
