How to Make Gem Trees Grow Faster in Terraria

Gem trees in Terraria are a bit picky, but there's no real 'speed up' button. They need to be planted on gemspark blocks which match the type of gemcorn you're planting. Also, patience is key! These trees take their sweet time, and there's no fertilizer or growth potion to speed them up. Just make sure they have enough space (about 3 tiles in width) and are planted in underground or cavern layers. Good lighting doesn't hurt either!

Honestly, just wait. Gem trees grow at their own pace. No shortcuts here.

First-hand experience here: make sure you're planting those gemcorns in the right environment! Had mine in the wrong layer and they just wouldn't grow. Once I moved them to the underground layer on the matching gemspark blocks, they started growing. It's all about that patience and making sure you've got the conditions right.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
