Actually, I think the charm of Steam is in its simplicity. Stick to a static image. Why complicate things?

Been there, done that! Used an online converter to change my favorite GIF to APNG and uploaded it to my Steam profile. It's a neat trick that gets your profile to stand out. Just make sure the file isn't too big!

Steam doesn't technically support GIFs for profile pics. You gotta be a bit of a magician and convert the GIF to APNG. Then, just upload it as you normally would. Google's your friend for a converter.

Making a GIF your Steam profile picture is a tricky biz since Steam only directly supports static images. HOWEVER, there's a workaround if you're savvy. Convert that GIF into an 'APNG' file (it's like a GIF but sneakier). Websites like 'Ezgif.com' can do the conversion for you. Once converted, just upload it as your profile picture on Steam. Voila, you tricked the system and got yourself a moving picture!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
