Super easy DIY project incoming! First, you'll need a sturdy piece of cardboard. Cut two long strips for the sides and one wide strip for the base. Then, make a lever mechanism using a smaller piece of cardboard - this will be your launcher. Attach a rubber band to the lever for tension, and voila! You've got yourself a homemade Hot Wheels launcher. Ready, set, zoom!

Made one last weekend for my nephew! Cut a notch at the end of the cardboard base for the car to sit in. Then, tape a bent paper clip to the lever as a hook to catch the rear of the car. Elastic bands for tension and bam! It actually works pretty well.

Honestly, just buy a launcher. Making one out of cardboard sounds fun until you realize it doesn't launch the cars very far. Plus, the real deal isn't that expensive and saves you the headache.
