Just mine iron ore and smelt it in a Furnace. Easy peasy.

Making iron bars in Terraria is pretty straightforward! First, make sure you've mined some iron ore - you'll find it underground. Once you've got enough, head back to the surface and stand near a Furnace. Open your crafting menu, and you should see the option to turn your iron ore into iron bars. Remember, it takes three iron ore to make one iron bar. Happy crafting!

As someone who's spent way too many hours in Terraria, I can confirm mining iron ore and melting it in a Furnace is the way to go. If you're new to the game, just make sure you've got a Furnace near you. Three iron ores will give you one iron bar. It's a basic but essential part of the game, so have fun with it!
