Honestly, just roam around and cause chaos. Truck missions, assassinations, robbing houses at night. The money flows in GTA if you're up for some adventure.
Just do the firefighter missions. Not only do you become fireproof after completing all 12 levels, but you also get a good chunk of cash for each level. Easy and beneficial.
