You can't directly create multiple saves from within the game. You've gotta manually manage your save files by copying them from the save game location!

To make multiple save files in Subnautica Below Zero, just manually create new folders in the save game directory and copy the current save folder into them. Rename each folder accordingly!

Yeah, just backup your save files manually. It's not that hard and it's a good habit anyway.

I found that you can have multiple saves by copying the save game folder from C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Unknown Worlds\SubnauticaSubZero into another location on your PC. Just switch them out when you want to play a different one.

If you're on PC, go to the save game folder (usually found in the steamapps folder under SubnauticaZero), copy and paste your current save file to create backups. Name them differently to keep track!
