You can't make an Obsidian Pickaxe in Terraria, actually. What you're probably looking for is how to mine Obsidian, which you'll need an Iron Pickaxe or better for. To get Obsidian itself, you gotta mix water with lava. For the pickaxe vibes, aim for the Nightmare Pickaxe or the Deathbringer Pickaxe which need Demonite or Crimtane ores plus Shadow Scales or Tissue Samples.

There's no Obsidian Pickaxe my dude. You need to mine Obsidian by combining water with lava and use a good pickaxe for that. Obsidian is key for crafting the Obsidian Skull and other items, not a pickaxe.
