Pro tip: Always upgrade your pickaxe ASAP. It makes a HUGE difference in mining speed and what materials you can mine. So, grab those ores, smelt them into bars, and craft a better pickaxe at the anvil. Trust me, I spent hours with a basic pickaxe before realizing I could've upgraded ages ago.
