Making a Pokemon card shiny is like trying to turn a pumpkin into a carriage without a fairy godmother. But if you're looking to enhance the appearance of your cards, you can try sleeving them with holographic or shiny sleeves. These sleeves reflect light, giving your cards a shiny effect without altering the cards themselves. Remember, actual shiny or holo cards are made that way during manufacturing, so you can't really 'make' a card shiny in the true sense.

I've been collecting Pokemon cards for years and the closest you can get to making them look shiny is by using high-quality protective sleeves with a glossy finish. It won't change the card itself, but it adds a nice shine and protects them at the same time. Trust me, it's all about that sleeve game.

Just buy shiny cards, lol. Trying to make regular cards shiny is a waste of time and might damage them.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
