Honestly, just buy the shiny ones. Making regular Pokemon cards shiny sounds like it'd ruin the card and lower its value to collectors.

I once tried to make my own card shinier by using a clear holographic nail polish. It did give it a shiny finish, but it definitely didn't look professional. Plus, it made the card super sticky and I couldn't even slide it into a sleeve afterwards. 10/10 would not recommend unless you're into sticky, messy cards!

You can't really 'make' regular Pokemon cards shiny in the way official shiny (holo) cards are, because those have a special coating and printing process that make them stand out. However, if you're just looking to spice up your collection or deck, people sometimes use custom sleeves or overlays that add a holographic effect to the cards. Remember though, these won't be tournament legal!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
