Making proxies for MTG is super easy and can be fun! You just need a printer, some paper, and card sleeves. First, find high-quality images of the cards you want to proxy. Websites like Scryfall are great for this. Print the images on paper (photo paper works best for that real card feel), cut them out, and then slip them into card sleeves with a real MTG card or a blank card for stiffness. Voila, you've got yourself some MTG proxies!

Honestly, just write the card names on basic land cards with a sharpie. If you're just playing with friends, who cares? Plus, it's the ultimate budget option.

I鈥檝e made tons of proxies using the 'window cling' method for my EDH decks. Print the card image on a clear window decal sheet, then stick it onto a bulk card. It looks pretty legit, especially if you're not too fussed about it being slightly thicker than a normal card. Perfect for playtesting or casual games!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
