Got to your PS3 settings, navigate to Display Settings, choose Video Output Settings, and follow the prompts to set it to HDMI and the correct resolution. This should get you full screen on your TV!

Manual tweak: Go into your game menu, adjust aspect ratio settings to 'Full Screen' or '16:9'. Voila, no more black bars!

Full screen is overrated. Embrace those cinematic black bars鈥攖hey add character to your gaming experience.

Check your TV's picture settings, sometimes the aspect ratio is set to something other than 'Full' or 'Just Scan'鈥攕et it to those for a proper fit.

From personal experience, make sure both your PS3 and TV are set to the same resolution (like 1080p). If they mismatch, the screen won鈥檛 fill up properly.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
