To make PS5 games, you'll need a strong grasp of a programming language like C++ and game development tools like Unreal Engine or Unity. Then, apply for a PlayStation Developer License from Sony, which includes access to their dev kits and resources.

Just learn C++ and grab yourself a developer license from Sony. Easy peasy... kind of.

Get started by learning Unity or Unreal Engine and mastering C++. Once you have those skills, apply for a developer license from Sony to get the necessary tools and support.

I started with Unity and C# before shifting to Unreal Engine and C++. Once I got my PlayStation Developer License, I had access to all the tools and support from Sony. Now I'm working on my first indie game for PS5!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
