Hot take: Just play laser tag. It's automatically 2 vs. 2 if you grab a buddy and hop in when it's not too crowded. Quick, easy, and super fun.

Honestly, just hit up the social spaces. It's the simplest way to enjoy the game with one other person without setting up anything special. You'll meet others too, which can turn your duo into a whole party.

From my experience, the best way to enjoy Rec Room with just one other person is to dive into the user-generated rooms. Some are designed specifically for small groups and can be a blast to explore with a friend. Plus, you're always discovering something new!

To make Rec Room a 2-player experience, you just have to team up with a friend in any of the game modes like paintball or quests! You can create a private room for both of you by going to your watch menu, selecting 'Create' > 'Create Private' and then choosing the game mode. Don't forget to invite your friend from your friends list!

If you're a Rec Room player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Rec Room gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
