Honestly, why bother with a silver pickaxe when there are way better options out there? Get to the good stuff faster by skipping the silver and aiming for gold or even demonite!
Made my first silver pickaxe last night, and it was a game changer! Mining's so much faster now. Make sure you've got those 4 silver bars and a piece of wood, then hit up an anvil. Totally worth the effort.
