I've done this before - just head to your Page's 'Settings,' click on 'Page Roles,' type in your friend's name, and select 'Admin.'
Easiest way: navigate to your Facebook Page, find the 'Settings' tab, head over to 'Page Roles,' and assign admin status. Done and dusted!
