Open Sonic Generations' config.ini file in the game's directory, find 'FullScreen=1', and change it to 'FullScreen=0'. Save and restart the game to enjoy the windowed experience.

To play Sonic Generations in windowed mode, press Alt + Enter while in-game and voil脿, windowed mode!
