To craft the Pickaxe Axe in Terraria, first you gotta defeat The Twins, Skeletron Prime, and The Destroyer bosses to get Hallowed Bars and 1 Soul of Fright, 1 Soul of Might, and 1 Soul of Sight. These drop from the bosses I just mentioned. Then, head to a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil with your goodies. Mix together 18 Hallowed Bars with your 3 Souls (1 of each type), and voila! You've got yourself a shiny new Pickaxe Axe ready to tear through almost anything in Terraria!

Honestly, the Drax is better than the Pickaxe Axe. Why bother with the latter?

Just beat the mechanical bosses and craft it with Hallowed Bars and the Souls. Easy peasy.
