How to Make a Trader Leader in State of Decay
First, you need a survivor with the Trader Hero trait. Promote them to leader by going to your base screen, selecting the Community tab, and then the Survivor you want to promote.

Find a character with good standing, and the Trader hero trait. Then, go to your community screen, select the survivor, and click 'Promote to Leader'. Easy!
Just pick a survivor with the Trader hero type and promote them to leader from the Community tab. If only it was that simple IRL, right?
