I made a killer custom skin for my favorite tank last week! You need to grab the vehicle's TGA file from the game, edit it with Photoshop or GIMP, and then save it back to your War Thunder files. It takes patience but the result is totally worth it!

Creating user skins in War Thunder is actually a lot of fun! Start by choosing a vehicle and then download the TGA file from the 'Customization' section in the game. You can edit this file in an image editor program like Photoshop or GIMP. Once you're happy with your design, save it and apply it back in the game. Boom, custom skin achieved!

Just go to the vehicle customization menu, download the template, edit it in any graphic program, and then re-upload it. Simple as pie!

Honestly, just stick with the default skins. The custom ones are a pain in the neck to make.
