How to Make x360 Work with Sonic Generations
You gotta use x360ce, the Xbox 360 Controller Emulator. Just download it, drop the exe into the Sonic Generations folder, and run it to set up your controller. Works like a charm!

Check out x360ce and follow the setup instructions. It's pretty straightforward, just make sure it's in the same folder as the game's executable file.
I got my controller working by downloading x360ce, putting it in the Sonic Generations directory, and configuring my controller. Didn't have any issues after that!
