You can also restart it from the menu! Just press the Xbox button on your controller, go to 'Profile & system,' then 'Settings,' 'Power & startup,' and select 'Restart now.'

Fastest way? Just yank the plug out (not really recommended, but it works!). Plug it back in after 10 seconds.

Had to do this recently – hold the power button on the console itself for 10 seconds. Once it shuts down, wait a few seconds, and power it back on. No more problems!
