Yeah, merging isn't a thing on Instagram. Just pick the account you want to keep and manually transfer your pics to it.
I had the same issue! I recommend logging into both accounts, selecting the one you're keeping, and then manually uploading content from the other. It's a bit more work but it gets the job done!
Just choose one account to keep, download the content from the other, and re-upload to the main one. Boom, problem solved.
