Mining cobalt in Terraria isn't as straightforward as you might think! First things first, you need a Hardmode world. Trigger Hardmode by defeating the Wall of Flesh boss in the Underworld. After that, smashing one of the demon/crimson altars with a Pwnhammer (dropped by the Wall of Flesh) will spawn Cobalt ore in your world. But here's the kicker: to mine Cobalt, you'll need at least a Molten Pickaxe or something better. Happy mining!

All these steps and you're telling me I gotta beat a boss first? SMH, just get a Drill Containment Unit and call it a day. Who's got time for all that?

Okay, I actually mined cobalt and here's the deal. The guide above is spot on. But lemme add, patience is key. Finding cobalt can be a bit of a pain because it spawns randomly in your world after smashing the altars. Look in the Cavern layers, and make sure you've got plenty of torches and potions. It's a whole adventure on its own!
