To mine dirt walls in Terraria, you gotta have the right tool. Start with a pickaxe or a drill. Pickaxes are your bread and butter for digging through almost everything in early game. Just aim at the dirt wall and start swinging. If it's background walls you're after, you're gonna need to start from the edge where it's exposed or use a hammer. Hammers are the go-to for taking down any background walls, including dirt ones. So grab one, aim, and swing away!

You can't just mine dirt walls from the middle. Gotta start from an edge or a corner. If you're dealing with background walls placed by players, any hammer will work. For natural walls, you have to start at the world's edge or where there's no wall.

Actually, any hammer will do, but I personally love the Molten Hamaxe. Not only does it smash walls with the fury of a thousand suns, but it also chops trees like butter. Efficiency is key, my friend!

Just slam it with a hammer!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
