Actually, you can't mine those temple blocks until you beat the Golem boss. Picksaw or bust!

Fun fact: tried mining those blocks with everything BUT the Picksaw. Can confirm, it's the only way. Beat Golem, grab the Picksaw, and go wild on those temple blocks.
