Hit down on the D-pad and tap the RB button. Keep holding RB and push up on the D-pad afterward to mode up.

To mode up in Shindo Life on Xbox, activate your Bloodline abilities by pressing down on the D-pad, then hold the right button (RB) and press the up button on the D-pad.
