To move items in your ship in Lethal Company, you first gotta pick the item up by approaching it and pressing the interact button (usually 'E' on keyboard). Once you've got the item, you can carry it to wherever you wanna put it down. Press that interact button again to drop it. Just remember, you can't fight or use other items while holding something, so plan your item shuffles wisely!
I don't recommend moving items around too much; wastes precious time. Focus on scavenging and survival instead. Those who wander with furniture don't last long on the moons.
