Honestly, why bother moving? Just download your games again on the new drive. Internet is fast nowadays.

Moving Steam and your games to another drive is actually simpler than it sounds! First, create a SteamLibrary folder on your new drive. Then, open Steam, go to Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders, and add the new location. Finally, you can either reinstall the games to the new location or move the existing game files there and have Steam verify the game files. Remember to restart Steam after the move!

Just drag and drop your Steam folder to the new drive. Steam is chill like that, but make sure you point Steam to the new location in Settings. Works like a charm.

Moved my entire Steam library last year. Thought it'd be a nightmare but it was easy. The key part? Make sure Steam knows where you've moved everything in the settings. If it can't find your games, it can't play them. Worked like a charm and not a single game lost in the process.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
