Just head to your Instagram homepage, find the story you want to mute, press and hold their profile picture, and tadaa! The 'Mute' option will pop up, and you’re just a tap away from muted bliss. Not even Sherlock could find out you muted them!
You can find the mute option by pressing on their story icon and selecting 'Mute' from the pop-up menu. It's like putting them on a snooze button!
