Nope, can't do it. Dogmeat is Dogmeat and that's that. No name change for the pup.

Oh, wanting to give Dogmeat a new name, are we? Well, tough biscuits! In Fallout 4, you can't change his name. Dogmeat is a legacy character in the Fallout series, and his name stays as is. Imagine the chaos if everyone started naming him whatever they wanted... We'd have dogs named Snuffles, Lord Woofington, and Sir Barksalot running around the wasteland!

Actually, I tried renaming Dogmeat using console commands on PC. It kinda works but only visually and temporarily. So, strictly speaking, in the regular gameplay, no renaming Dogmeat.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
