To play TF2 with Oculus Rift, you need to use SteamVR. Launch SteamVR, then start TF2 from the Steam library. In the game's launch options, add '-vr' and you're good to go!

I used to do this! Just make sure you have SteamVR installed, then run TF2 with the '-vr' option in launch settings.

Don't bother with VR for TF2, there's no official support and it might be more of a hassle than it's worth.
