Why open it? Just clean the vents and keep it cool. But if you must, unscrew it carefully.

I鈥檝e done it myself! You only need a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the HDD cover, take out the screws, then slide and lift the top cover. Just remember where each screw goes.

Alright, grab a small Phillips head screwdriver, some patience, and maybe a bit of courage. First, remove the warranty sticker and the rubber foot beneath it to reveal a hidden screw. Then, unscrew all the visible screws on the case, lift the lid, and voila! You've cracked open your fat PS3.

Step one: Get a Philips screwdriver. Step two: Remove screws from the bottom. Step three: Gently lift the top cover. You鈥檙e in!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
