First, you'll need a Torx T8 Security screwdriver. There are 5 screws: 2 under each grip (you'll have to pry off the plastic grips), and 1 under the battery compartment sticker. Remove these and the controller will come apart!

Get a Torx T8 screwdriver and pry off the side grips. Remove the screws (5 in total), and voila—your controller's open!
