Opening an AppImage on the Steam Deck is pretty straightforward. First, make sure you have 'Developer Mode' enabled in your settings. Then, use the Discover App to install an application called 'AppImageLauncher' – this will make it a breeze to integrate AppImages into your system. Simply download the AppImage file you want, navigate to it using the file manager, right-click, and choose 'Open with AppImageLauncher'. Voila, you're all set!

Just chmod +x the AppImage file and run it directly from the terminal. No need to overcomplicate things with extra apps.

Honestly, why bother with AppImages when the Steam Deck's main charm is its seamless gaming experience? Stick to the Steam store and save yourself the hassle.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
