Don't. Using the console ruins the fun and challenge of the game. Play it as it was meant to be played.
To open the console in Fallout 4, just press the tilde key (~) on your keyboard. It's right below the escape key. Once you press it, the game will pause, and you'll see a text box at the bottom of your screen where you can type in commands.
