Opening a Hot Wheels car for detailing or custom work can be a delicate task! The most common method is to use a drill to remove the rivets on the bottom of the car. You'll need a small drill bit for this. After removing the rivets, the body of the car should separate from the chassis. Just be careful not to damage the car in the process. Some folks also recommend a bit of heat to loosen things up, but that's for the brave at heart.

Been there, done that! Drilling out the rivets works best. Just go slow to not mess up the paint or parts. It's like performing surgery on a tiny car!

Hot take: Just enjoy them as they are! Opening them up might just ruin the magic (and the value).
