Sorry to burst the bubble, but in Terraria, you can't really open locked chests without the corresponding key. Each type of locked chest (like Shadow Chests, Golden Chests, etc.) requires its specific key to open. Your best bet is diving into those dungeons, biomes, and shadowy corners of the world to snag the right keys. Happy hunting!

Hot take: Just get the keys. Part of Terraria's charm is the adventure and challenge. Skipping the quest for keys sorta misses the point, doesn't it?

Been there, done that! Found myself stuck without keys too many times so here's the deal - you CAN'T. But, finding keys is part of the adventure. Once snagged a Shadow Key deep in a dungeon after dodging traps and monsters. Honestly, the thrill of the hunt made opening that chest so much sweeter.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:
