Opening pearl oysters in Animal Crossing isn't something you do directly in the game. Pearl oysters serve as a sellable item, and you can sometimes get pearls from diving, but you don't open them like you might in real life. Keep an eye out while diving! If you're after pearls, they're a separate underwater item you can find.

To open a Pearl Oyster in Animal Crossing, you actually don't need to open it like you would in real life. Pearls are found when diving in the ocean. You just have to swim around and dive underwater to spot some bubbles. Dive at those spots, and you might find a Pearl Oyster, which contains the pearl. No opening required!

You can't actually open them, lol. Just sell 'em or decorate with 'em. If it's pearls you need, you gotta dive for those specifically.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
