Just tear it open! Why overcomplicate it? The fun's in seeing what you got, not how neatly you can open a pack.

Opening Pokemon cards from the Sword and Shield series is super exciting! The key is to be gentle to avoid damaging the cards. Start by carefully ripping the top of the pack, or use scissors to cut it open carefully if you're like me and want to keep things neat. Then, slide the cards out without bending them. Some folks do the card trick by moving the last four cards to the front to save the rare card reveal for last. It鈥檚 like saving dessert for the end of the meal!

I always use scissors to snip the top off the pack and then gently shake the cards out into my hand. Ever since I started doing this, I haven鈥檛 damaged a single card. Plus, it feels like opening a present every time!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
