I used a pair of needle-nose pliers to grip and turn the screws on my PS3 Fat. It took a while, but it worked!

I've heard some folks use a heated flathead to slightly melt into the screw for grip. Risky, but it could work in a pinch!

If you don't have a torx screwdriver, a small flathead screwdriver can sometimes fit just right to turn those pesky screws. Just be gentle to avoid stripping them!
