Just spell out RAILROAD with the letters on the wheel next to the door. Simple as that!

To open the Railroad door in Fallout 4, you gotta use the ol' spin-the-dial trick on the cryptic lock. Stand in front of the puzzle lock next to the door, interact with it, and spell 'RAILROAD' by turning the dial to each letter and pressing the button to confirm. Once you've got it right, voila, the door swings open, and you're in!

Spelling out 'RAILROAD' too mainstream for ya? Surprise鈥攖here's no cheat code or backdoor key. Stick to the basics, spell it out!

Honestly, I kept spinning that dial randomly until it worked. But yeah, spelling RAILROAD is the legit way to do it.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!
