First, unplug your PS3 Slim and remove the hard drive cover. Then, you'll need a T8 Torx screwdriver to unscrew all the screws on the bottom and back of the console. Once you've done that, gently lift the top cover off. Be careful not to yank any cables!

Here's a quick rundown: disconnect everything, remove the hard drive cover, unscrew the bottom screws with a Torx T8, then lift off the top cover. Easy peasy!

Honestly, unless you really need to, I wouldn't open it. But if you must, make sure you have a Torx T8 screwdriver and follow a good guide.

I had to clean out my PS3 Slim's fan once. Just follow the basic steps: unplug everything, remove the hard drive cover, unscrew the bottom using a T8 Torx, and then carefully lift the top cover. Took 20 minutes!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
