Pro tip: You can also enter Big Picture mode without clicking around. Just hit the Windows key, type 'Steam', right-click the Steam app, and choose 'Run as administrator'. Once Steam launches, press the 'Big Picture' button at the top-right. Works like magic!

Opening Steam in Big Picture mode is super easy! Just fire up your Steam client, and you'll see a rectangle with an arrow in the upper right corner next to your username. Click that, and you're in Big Picture heaven, ready to game from your couch.
