Just get a plastic opening tool and pry it open gently around the edges. Be careful around the buttons and joysticks. Easy does it!

Opening the Steam Deck case is pretty straightforward but handle with care! Start by gently pressing down on the back cover near the edges, you should find specific points that give way a little. Use a plastic prying tool if you have one to gently lift the edges. Remember, slow and steady wins the race here. Don't force it open!

Honestly, just watch a YouTube tutorial. It's way easier to follow along with a video than written instructions. Plus, you get to see exactly where to pry and how much force to use.

No need to open it unless you really have to. Messing with the internals if you're not sure what you're doing can cause more harm than good.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
