Opening the Steam overlay in-game is super easy! Just press 'Shift' + 'Tab' together, and voila, the Steam menu should pop right up. It's a lifesaver for quick access to chats, friends lists, and more without having to alt-tab out.

Honestly, just hit Shift + Tab. That's it. Game doesn't even need to pause.

As a frequent Steam user, I've found that sometimes if Shift + Tab doesn't work, it means the overlay is disabled for that game. You can re-enable it by going to the game's properties in your Steam library, under 'General' check the option 'Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game'. Make sure you do this before launching the game!

Not all games play nice with the overlay, especially older titles. If Shift + Tab isn't working, check the game's compatibility or forums for any specific workarounds.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
